How to Cook a Full Meal While Camping Out

I took my first camping trip was when I was 10 years old, part way up Maine’s remote Mt. Katahdin. I met my first moose, and got the low-down on camping toiletry, on that mountain. 

My next tent camps were in Africa – Tanzania and Zimbabwe, mostly. I fell asleep to the roar of lions, and patched the tent fly when a wild boar sliced it apart to snatch a mango from my pack.

Joshua Tree National Park, barren and resplendent at once, was my vacation home when I lived in Los Angeles.
